As a professional translator I don't consider translation to be just an interchanging of words between languages. I see words, sentences and texts as messages the person who wrote the text wants to convey to the reader. Therefore it is not enough to just know two languages to translate.

With my background as a studied translation specialist and certification as a translator in law, I can offer translations targeted to the reader, rooted in the culture and appropriate to the field of specialization. My preferred fields of work are law and economics, as well as marketing, cosmetics and tourism.

In some cases a newly written text in the target language can even convey the original meaning much better than any translation ever could. That is why I do not only consider myself a translator, but also a writer. Sometimes the line between translating, transcreating and copywriting is blurred within my work.
