In asking the question “who arc you!”, the visible aspect of the pet hon, i. e., the body, is not really being addressed.
Essentially, the question refers to the nature of individuality, per se, i. e., the person, who as such remains invisible and yet embodied, “sounding through” (personare [Lat.]:resound) the personality.
“Embodied mind”, “embodied emotion", the process of incarnation (i. e., embodiment) of the soul and spirit are not unfamiliar concepts in current scientific discourse.
By extending the concept of body as a mere physical object to include the life-organization into which individuality incarnates, the concept of resonances between body and soul” [Verres 2005] begins to assume meaning. for the physician, this step of awareness holds a key to establishing an authentic, empathic par- ent-child relationship, characterized by such resonance; it expresses the ultimate and inevitable conviction that a child’s body is the bearer of a soul and spiritual being.
In the first breath, in every movement, in every sound, the presence of the child’s soul is revealed to the mother.
Above all, it is in the very act of hearing that the soul element in the human being is experienced with absolute certainty.

Esencialmente, la pregunta se refiere a la naturaleza de la individualidad, por lo tanto, a la persona, que se mantiene invisible y sin embargo se personifica “sonando a través” (del latín personare: Resonando) de la personalidad. “Mente personificada”, “emociones personificadas”, el proceso de encarnación (por ejemplo, la personificación) del alma y el espíritu no son conceptos ajenos en el discurso científico actual. Al extender el concepto de cuerpo como un mero objeto físico para incluir la organización de la vida dentro de la rencarnación individual, el concepto de resonancias entre el cuerpo y el alma (Verres; 2005) comienza a ganar significado. Para el médico, tomar conciencia de ello es clave para establecer una auténtica y empática relación entre padres e hijos, caracterizada por dicha resonancia. Expresa la inevitable y máxima convicción de que el cuerpo del niño es el portador de su alma y espíritu.

Con práctica, cada especie de pájaro se puede distinguir en tipos (tal como un botánico puede distinguir cada planta con tal solo mirarla). De una manera similar, cada madre aprende a entender los sonidos de su hijo en las primeras semanas de vida: hambre, dolor, repleción, bienestar, malestar y cansancio se convierten tan tangibles para ella como si fueran sus propios sentimientos. Frecuentemente son el llanto, la intranquilidad, los diferentes movimientos del niño que provocan que los padres consulten a su pediatra. La práctica médica es inconcebible sin conocer la realidad del alma, un médico con criterios clínicos sabe cómo percibir la expresión de su cara y los movimientos del niño, pero, sobre todo, un buen médico sabe cómo escuchar al niño, incluso cómo penetrar en la auscultación de su respiración y sus latidos del corazón de forma empáticamente consciente (Appenzeller; 1989).
