Dear
Client, I am qualified both as a Lawyer (Master of Laws) and a Translating
Lawyer (Diploma additional to the qualification of Lawyer). I translate from
English into Russian and vice versa, as well as from Georgian into English and
vice versa.
To expand
upon my professional legal background, I hold academic credentials both in the
fields of private and public law. As to my academic qualifications in the field
of private law, I have graduated from a 5-year university program, according to
which I have been qualified as a Lawyer specialized in civil and international
private law. I have earned the above degree in Russian Federation. Regarding my
academic credentials in the field of public law, I hold a Master of Laws
(LL.M.) in Sustainable Development with specialization in Human Rights and
Social Development. I have obtained the said degree from a leading law faculty
in Italy. Furthermore, I have majored in International Law earning an LL.M. in
this discipline, and have also obtained a Master’s degree in International and
European Law, from the outstanding Universities in France.
Since 2004,
I am actively engaged in my professional life as a law expert through
employment, professional associations and traineeships. As a lawyer, I have
been involved both with international entities and local organizations. I have
gained insight into the matters of international concern through my
professional experience abroad (in Austria and the Netherlands) within the
organizations belonging to the United Nations’ system. I have further acquired
an extremely valuable professional experience on the ground (in Georgia), which
has helped me to broaden my vision as to how international rules and
regulations are being implemented in everyday life through local rules.
Furthermore, while a student in Russian Federation, I also undertook graduate
internships with executive and judicial bodies in Moscow. During my professional
career, I have been working on various legal matters pertaining to the fields
of treaty law, diplomatic law, labor law (international trade and labor
standards), administrative law, and nuclear law (radiation safety, radioactive
waste management, and etc.). In particular, I have had an opportunity to
undertake legal research and prepare drafts of a variety of different legal
documents, such as legal acts and amendments thereto, records of court
hearings, contracts and agreements, notes, reports on legal matters, and other
types of legal texts.
With
respect to my language qualifications: I am bilingual in Russian and Georgian
languages, and fluent in English and French. Also, I have good knowledge of
Italian language. I have been qualified as a Translating Lawyer in Russian
Federation. My language pairs according to this qualification are as follows:
English into Russian, and French into Russian. As a translator, currently I
work with the following language pairs: English into Georgian and vice versa,
English into Russian and vice versa, Russian into Georgian and vice versa,
French into Georgian, and Italian into Georgian.
My
experience abroad has also helped me to improve my language skills, working in
English, French and Russian languages. Since January of this year, I
collaborate as a professional legal translator with international and local
translation agencies, in Georgia. In this capacity, I have been translating
such legal texts as, legal acts, regulations, contracts and agreements, court
rulings, founding documents of a company, and other types of legal
documentation. At the same time, I have had an honor to collaborate with
international non-governmental agencies (NGOs) abroad, through the United
Nations online translation platform. In this role, I have had a chance to
translate an internal regulation of an NGO in Kazakhstan and a text on
sustainable development topic for an NGO in Switzerland. Overall, I have 6
years of law practice, including more than two years fully in English. At the
same time, I have over a year of legal translation experience.
I have
excellent IT skills, acquired through trainings in Microsoft Office tools such
as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
