Source text - English Bu değerlendirmeye konu olan derleme, 2019 yılında Türkçede yayımlanan İslam felsefesi çalışmaları arasındaki en dikkat çekici eserlerden biridir. Ömer Türker ve İbrahim Halil Üçer’in editörlüğünü yaptığı, on iki farklı yazarın katkılarıyla hazırlanan kitap İslam düşünce geleneğindeki insan tasavvurlarını araştırmak
amacıyla İlmi Etüdler Derneği’nde (İLEM) gerçekleştirilen İslam Ahlak Düşüncesi Projesi çerçevesinde düzenlenmiş bir dizi etkinliğin sonucu olarak ortaya çıkmış. “On dört makalenin yer aldığı çalışma, İslam düşünce geleneğindeki farklı disiplinler içerisindeki farklı okulların, insanın ne olduğu ve ondan gerçekte
neyin beklendiği sorusuna verdikleri cevapları” soruşturuyor (ix). Başlık her ne kadar insan tasavvuruna hasredilmiş görünse de insanı konu edinen bir araştırma ister istemez doğa ve Tanrı tasavvurlarını da içereceği için insanın tanımı, mahiyeti, temel bileşenleri, kökeni, geleceği, halleri ve sorumluluklarıyla ilişkili
soruşturmanın kolayca fizik, metafizik, bilgi teorisi ve eskatolojinin alanlarına uzanıyor. Bu tespitin bariz örneklerini ikinci bölümün sonunda Sühreverdî (ö. 587/1191) ve Molla Sadrâ’nın (ö. 1050/1641) insan anlayışlarını konu edinen makalelerde görmek mümkün.
Translation - Turkish This book under review is one of the most remarkable Turkish-language publications to come out during 2019 in the field of Islamic philosophy. Comprising the contributions of twelve authors and edited by Ömer Türker and İbrahim Halil Üçer, it is the result of a series of activities organized by the Islamic Moral /ought Project. Carried out at the Scientific Studies Association (ILEM), this fourteen-article study “investigates the answers of different schools within different disciplines in the history of Islamic thought to the question of what a human being is and what is actually expected of him/her” (ix). Although the title may seem to be quite specific, it will inevitably involve the concept of nature and that of God. Hence, the investigation into this entity’s defination, basic components, origin, future, states, and responsibilities easily extends to the field of physics, metaphysics, epistemology, and eschatology, as can be observed in the articles about al-Suhrawardi’s (d. 587/1191) and Mulla Sadra’s (d. 1050/1641) understandings that appear at the end of the second part.
