I am a native English speaker, offering Japanese/Italian to English translations on a full-time basis. experienced in translating and localising software user manuals, sales contracts, marketing material, menus, business emails, Wikipedia posts and manga comics.
My journey as a translator began with the numerous JA>EN translation projects offered during my linguistics undergrad in University College Cork and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. I also leveraged my free time during university, practicing translation and interpretation work on Wikipedia posts and during an internship with STH Japan in central Tokyo. Since those days, I have conducted various other freelance JA>EN translation jobs and co-founded CARA Translations, a service offering tourism translation and localisation from Japanese to up to 8 languages.
Since 2021, I have been simultaneous working in an NGO in Sicily, where I have gained strong proficiency in Italian and often provide linguistic support for Italian, Arabic, English, Russian and Spanish-speaking volunteers and beneficiaries alike.
I believe in the power of good will and mutual respect amongst my clients to ensure accurate and punctual translations which read naturally. |
