El escritor y reconocido poeta Mexicano Octavio Paz Lozano, al recibir el Premio Nobel de Literatura en el año 1990, pronuncio un emotivo discurso, que inicia con una profunda reflexión sobre la palabra gracias, diciendo:
“Comienzo con una palabra que todos los hombres, desde que el hombre es hombre, han preferido, Gracias. Es una palabra que tiene equivalentes en todas las lenguas, y que en todas es rica la gama de significados. En las lenguas romances va de lo espiritual a lo físico, de la gracia que concede Dios a los hombres para salvarlos del error y la muerte, a la gracia corporal de la muchacha que baila o a la del felino que salta en la maleza. Gracia es perdón, indulto, favor, beneficio, nombre, inspiración, felicidad en el estilo de hablar o pintar, ademan que revela las buenas maneras y, en fin, acto que expresa bondad de alma. La gracia es gratuita, es un don; aquel que lo recibe, el agraciado, sino es un mal nacido, lo agradece: da las gracias. Es lo que yo hago ahora con estas palabras de poco peso. Espero que mi emoción compense su levedad. Si cada una fuese una gota de agua, ustedes podrían ver, a través de ellas lo que siento: gratitud, reconocimiento y también una indefinible mezcla de temor, respeto y sorpresa al verme ante ustedes…” (Octavio Paz Lozano 11 de Octubre 1990).
Esta cita, define nuestro sentir, porque resulta imposible que un espacio como este, sea suficiente para transmitir toda nuestra gratitud a quienes de una u otra forma han contribuido con la realización de esta investigación y publicación.

The writer and renowned Mexican poet Octavio Paz Lozano, upon receiving the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1990, gave an emotional speech, which begins with a deep reflection on the phrase thank you, by saying:
"I begin with a word that all men since man is man, have preferred: thank you. It is a word that has equivalents in all languages, and in all languages the range of meanings is rich. In the Romance languages, it goes from the spiritual to the physical, from the grace that God grants to men to save them from error and death, to the bodily grace of the girl who dances or to that of the feline who jumps in the brushwood. Grace is forgiveness, reprieve, favor, benefit, name, inspiration, happiness in the style of speaking or painting, a gesture that reveals good manners and, in short, an act that expresses the goodness of soul. Grace is free, it is a gift; the person who receives it, the graceful, if not a bastard, thanks him: thanks. That is what I do now with these lightweight words. I hope my emotion makes up for their lightness. If each one of them were a drop of water, you could see through them what I feel: gratitude, recognition and also an indefinite mixture of fear, respect, and surprise to see me before you...” (Octavio Paz Lozano, October 11, 1990).
This quotation defines our feelings because it is impossible for a space like this to be sufficient to transmit all our gratitude to those who, in one way or another, have contributed to the realization of this research and publication.
