Source text - English Objetivo: Conhecer as perspectivas pessoais do viver e conviver com a doença crônica, a partir de relatos históricos e desenhos representativos, elaborados por crianças hospitalizadas.
Projeto: Estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa.
Método: Participaram do estudo crianças e adolescentes entre 8 e 14 anos de idade, diagnosticados com doença crônica e hospitalizados em um Hospital Universitário do Brasil. Os dados foram coletados por meio da técnica projetiva e entrevista semiestruturada.
Resultados: Emergiram quatro categorias temáticas, formadas com base nos conceitos-chave das produções gráficas: I) as/os profissionais da saúde; II) a casa como representação da família; III) a segurança transmitida pelos pais no cuidar; IV) a espiritualidade no desenho da criança.
Translation - Portuguese Objective: To know the personal perspectives of living with the chronic disease, from historical reports and representative drawings prepared by hospitalized children.
Project: Descriptive study with qualitative approach.
Method : Children and adolescents between 8 and 14 years of age, diagnosed with chronic disease and hospitalized in a University Hospital in Brazil participated in the study. Data were collected using the projective technique and semi-structured interviews.
Results: Four thematic categories emerged, formed based on the key concepts of graphic productions: I) health professionals; II) the house as a representation of the family; III) the safety transmitted by parents in caring; IV) the spirituality in the child's drawing.
