Bio

Hi there, I'm Bruno!

I was born in Brazil and raised in Boston, which gave me bilingual skills that I carry on to my professional life. In my early years I bounced around in several areas, from logistics to food industry. This experience was precious to me in establishing an understanding of how different people work and comprehend things - this is a soft skill I employ today in my work geared towards linguistics.

As a translator I began working with training manuals, corporate e-mails, and eventually moved on to marketing. My main focus is on marketing - mainly the people side of it, such as advertising and propaganda - and literature. It is my understanding that every job is an opportunity to learn a bit more about something, and this is what I find amazing about the role of the translator.

I am currently working on my BA in English and Portuguese, with an emphasis on 20th century United States literature and its translation into Portuguese, as well as the translation of Brazilian 20th century literature into English.

My lifelong dedication to gaming guarantees that if you need someone to work with in gaming localization, you'll be getting not only a professional translator, but also someone who knows the gaming community well.

Additional interests of mine include social sciences, politics, and linguistics.
