My name is Jenna Ijas and I am a freelance translator based in Tampere, Finland.  I studied German language and translating at the Tampere University from 2014 to 2019, and I graduated as a Master of Arts. During my studies, I specialized in technical and economic translations. After graduation, I started to work as a freelance translator.

 I provide translations in several languages: From English, German, Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish and Swedish to Finnish. I have mostly translated texts from English and German because they are my strongest foreign languages. During my university studies I did an exchange year in China, where I studied Chinese language and culture. After the exchange I have used Chinese everyday and improved my understanding in Chinese culture. Translations from Spanish and Swedish are also possible: I have studied Spanish for eight years total both in high school and university and Swedish for seven years.

I am also able to translate from Finnish to English, German and Chinese, depending on the source text. I have worked with many types of translations: commercial texts, websites, surveys, product descriptions, power points, e-mails, articles and other texts. Besides translations, I also provide other language services such as proofreading for Finnish texts.
