Graduated with distinction from Purdue University Northwest, I have been part of the Dean List of Students since my freshman year in the school, obtaining a GPA average of 3.71/4.00. This led me to receive the Certificates of the Semester Honors every semester. I formed part of different societies and associations at PNW, such as National Society of Leadership and Success(NSLS), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers(SHPE) or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers(ASME) where I learned how to be a team member and to analyze the risks and value the advantages of all the opportunities. On the other hand, I learned how important is to share the experience and knowledge acquired on those opportunities. As an Electrical engineer, I believe For my Senior Project, I have implemented a Cartesian robot that will pick and place batteries into a holder and will solder them to a metallic plate. I am personally worked on the end effectors that performed the gripping and releasing of the batteries, and an adaptation of a spot-welder machine for the soldering behavior of the robot. However, I was also involved in the programming and control of the movement of the frame in the x-y-z coordinates. Regarding my field experience, I was part of the Automation and Data Cleansing departments as an intern at WEG Electric Corp. For the Automation department, I reviewed and corrected the designs of new and old electrical panels using AutoCAD and created the BOM for these new models. On the other hand, for the Data cleansing team, I learned how to use SAP and Appraise, which are database software.
As Ecuadorian, I am fluent in Spanish, and as an international student in the U.S., I also dominate the English proficiently. I am also passionate about the environment, then I am always looking for ways to help to preserve it. I think my major will help me to find ways to accomplish this. |
