Market leaders design every part of their operations to excel at one of these paths.
● Operational excellence. Organizations pursuing this path focus on pro- viding customers with good products and services at competitive prices and delivering those products and services at great convenience to the customer. To reach this goal, they concentrate on reducing overhead, eliminating unnecessary production steps, and improving business processes.
● Product leadership. Organizations seeking market leadership on this path concentrate on producing a continuous stream of state-of-the-art products and services. To do this, they create an entrepreneurial environment that fosters creativity, stresses rapid time-to-market, and encourages whatever it takes to immediately create the next “great thing.”
● Customer intimacy. Organizations that compete on customer intimacy tailor their products and services to specific customer groups. This requires an extremely detailed understanding of who their customers are and what they want. These organizations are flexible enough to meet special requests and to customize products and services quickly and economically. Their focus is on creating long-term loyalty.

Since 1998 I have been translating texts in a wide variety of fields, including novels, telecommunication system manuals, esoteric books, medical instruments user guides, patient preparation instructions (pre-op/post-op), human resources management training booklets, tourist guides and etc.
Since 2024, I have been working with TransPerfect, supporting translation projects for global brands such as Unilever, Luxottica, Pepsi, Sephora, and Louis Vuitton.
I started translating subtitles (English to Turkish) in 2004. In various international film festivals I worked as a subtitle translator and editor. And now I work for TV platforms' subtitling projects too.
I am a graduate of Boğaziçi University English Language and Literature. I got my master's degree on Turkish Language Literature at the same university. For 19 years I taught critical reading and writing and creative writing as a full-time instructor at Istanbul Bilgi University and İstanbul Şehir University.
Besides these, I work as a script writer and scenario doctor for Turkish series and feature films for Faro Entertainment Company.
I do have my own scenarios filmed by Arda Yalkın. The Circle Jerk, one of the scripts I have written, was first exhibited in the Barcelona Loop and New York Moving Images, and then
included in Paris FIAC selection. Two Monologs, which I wrote and played, took part in various
exhibitions.
