I have over a decade of professional community interpreting experience. I hold the National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), Qualified Mental Health Interpreter (QMHI) from Alabama State Department of Mental Health Office of Deaf Services, and Core Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CoreCHI™) from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters. My undergraduate degrees are in Sociology (B.S.) and Psychology (B.A.), and my Master's Degree is in Cross-Categorical Special Education (M.Ed.). I am passionate about cross-cultural communication.
