Bio
I was born in Voronezh, Russia in 1995. When I turned four, my family moved to Moscow, where I started learning English while enjoying world-famous cartoons and delving into illustrated books. The first substantive book that I read in English at the age of ten was “Black Beauty” by Anna Sewell. In 2006, I enrolled in German courses. I was truly fascinated by this language and learned it at a swift pace, although its grammar was significantly different from the English one and fairly complicated. At the age of 14, I embarked on reading classical literature in German, particularly “Three comrades“ by Erich Maria Remarque.I also studied the Latin language and was even engaged in the Latin theatre at school. Despite the fact that I didn’t apply this knowledge at work, it constituted a backbone of other foreign languages that I managed to master, as Latin is considered to be the mother of all European languages. After graduating from school in 2013, I entered the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA), the faculty of economic and social sciences (FESS). My state exam results were excellent, but they had little relevance because I had won the all-Russian linguistics Olympiad in German.Linguistic disciplines, preeminently foreign languages, were a crucial part of our educational program at university. Besides, most economics, management, finance classes, and other adjacent disciplines were held in English. As for our professors of languages, many of them were native speakers, which enabled us to immerse ourselves in the language environment.I got both bachelor's and master's degrees with honors in 2017 and in 2019 respectively. Over 6 academic years at university, I succeeded in expanding my knowledge of English and German and also in learning Spanish, French, and Italian. I proved my expertise by passing five international exams and obtaining certificates: CAE (English), Goethe-Zertifikat C2 (German), DELE (Spanish), DELF (French), and CELI (Italian). Furthermore, I got the second higher national interpretation and translation diploma and a Microsoft Project 74-343 certificate issued by the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), which vindicates my computer skills. When I was paving the way to my master's degree, I was involved in a tutoring program for international students at my university. My key mission implied interacting with them in foreign languages and helping them do the homework and understand various subjects, such as advanced mathematics, economics, financial reporting and modeling, statistics, law. When I studied at RANEPA, I occasionally translated texts in different domains, primarily articles about economics and marketing. My first consecutive interpretation experience took place in 2017. I volunteered for the Gaidar Forum, the largest annual international expert conference held at my university since 2010. My area of responsibility embraced accompanying foreign VIP-visitors and mediating at different talks. Apparently, this event provoked aspiration for interpretation, thus I outlined my future career. After graduating from RANEPA, I attended extra courses in interpretation and translation, e.g. general simultaneous interpretation, simultaneous interpretation in oil & gas and business & finance, pharmaceutical and medical translation, translation in ophthalmology and marketing translation for luxury brands.By now, I have been working as an interpreter at various conferences, workshops, negotiations, medical examinations, webinars, and other events for 2,5 years. The most impressive ones were the Open Innovations Forum and the International Productivity Forum at Skolkovo, the International Customs Forum at the World Trade Center, the Public Immunity Forum, the International Seminar of the Cycle “Dialogue of Civilizations and Cross-Cultural Cooperation” at Moscow State Pedagogical University (MSPU), “Music — Mathematics — Natural Sciences” at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the International Forum of Conference Interpreters “Global Dialogue”, the International Conference “Fish: processing and aquaculture technologies”, “Whirlpool: mission possible”, “Organizing the work with drivers in 2020” by “Shell”, “World Marathons 2020“ by “Greenway”, an online meeting of the representatives of the Anti-Leukemia Foundation with G. Henze, a German oncologist.I continuously keep enhancing my knowledge of foreign languages while traveling across Europe, socializing with native speakers from all over the world, teaching linguistic disciplines to students of my university, to employees of different companies within corporate education programs and giving private lessons, reading both news and classical works of literature in the original version and watching films and entertaining videos and podcasts.Currently, my top fields of expertise are business & finance, management, marketing & advertising, oil & gas, pharmacy & pharmacology, health, education, environment, and religion. In my leisure time, I maintain an active lifestyle. I go to the gym and to the swimming pool and participate in bike marathons.I am eager to provide you the services of simultaneous, consecutive interpretation and whispering interpretation (chuchotage). Nowadays, I often work online via diverse platforms of remote interpretation.
