1. — INTRODUCTION
We could not start this exhibition without first announcing our thanks and appreciation, on behalf of Mr. Gerardo Rodriguez-Acosta Gómez and Mr. Angel-Luis Campo Inquired, President and Vice President, respectively, as well as the entire Board of Directors of Cemin, for having our organization for such an important event, as well as for allowing us to share knowledge and express our opinion regarding the problems that minors and the youth in our country may suffer as a result of the conflicting breakdown of those who act as parents over them.
The problem under discussion throughout your organization is not at all trivial, but very important and in urgent need of a solution, since minors and the youth today are, in short, the future of each country, and their construction on problematic bases, they deduce in the future the possibility of insurmountable problems.
The significant increase in parents’ separation, new types of family, and the significant internationalization of social relationships, demands from politicians, legislators, and of course from professionals (psychologists, social workers, parenting coordinators, lawyers, prosecutors, judges, etc….), supranational organized actions, urgent measures, adaptability, creativity, professionalism, which are not always given for different reasons.
It is urgent to unify measures in cooperation between the countries, to allocate technical, legal and economical means to address the very serious problem that society in general and internationally, today demands.
That parental conflict is the direct cause of problems in minors, there is no doubt, numerous studies support it, for example it is reflected in the study “Parental Conflict, Divorce and Child Anxiety” (Gómez Ortiz et al., 2017)1that they didn't find differences in anxiety levels among schoolchildren depending on the divorce or not of their parents.
