English to French: COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE - Album "How to Swim in the Desert"
Source text - English Ce douzième album, burlesque et sensible, flirte avec le ska d’une manière libre et joyeuse.
L’Attirail avec cette thématique farfelue des sports nautiques dans le désert incite à un
nouveau voyage toujours plus onirique et surréaliste.
Sidi Bémol y participe pleinement en chantant sur trois titres et ses textes drôles, sensibles
ou loufoques (il s’approprie la langue kazakh d’une façon très libre dans Le drogman fait la
planche) font que pour une fois toutes les histoires de L’Attirail ne sont pas sans paroles…
Cet album évoque différentes fédérations sportives du désert (l’association kazakh de
natation, le club d’aviron de Zalanash) et s’intéresse plus particulièrement aux poissons
volants pris dans les tempêtes du désert, au mirage des pâtés de sable, aux apparitions
mystérieuses de grandes flaques d’eau, aux techniques de nage dans les oasis , ainsi qu’à
l’accoutrement inadapté des directeurs sportifs….
Dans cet état d’esprit, Xavier Demerliac et Sidi Bemol se sont retrouvés pour tourner un
petit film dans le désert ou il est question d’un mystérieux plongeur égaré et d’un bivouac
autour d’une vénérable horloge comtoise.
Translation - French This twelfth album, both burlesque and sensitive, flirts with ska music in a free and joyful way.
With their eccentric theme of watersports in the desert, L’Attirail entice their listeners on a new, yet more dreamlike and surreal trip.
What is novel about this album is that L’Attirail tell their stories in words. Sidi Bémol sings his funny, sensitive or madcap lyrics on three songs, making the Kazakh language his own in a very free way in Le Drogman fait la planche (The Dragoman floats).
This album evokes desert sports federations such as the Kazakh swimming association and the rowing club of Zanalash, flying fish caught in sandstorms, mirages of sand castles, mysterious appearances of big pools of water, swimming techniques in oases, as well as the inadequate clothing of team managers…
It is in this spirit that Xavier Demerliac and Sidi Bemol have got together to shoot a little film in the desert which deals with a mysterious, stranded diver and with a night in the desert around an ancient Franche-Comté clock.

Source text - English Prostor a čas nejsou objekt nebo hmota, nýbrž nástroj našeho chápání. Existence a vědomí jsou fundamentální pro pochopení univerza a z tohoto důvodu se domnívám, že lidstvo se vždy snažilo, ve vědě i ve výtvarném umění, definovat otázky týkající se dynamiky a složitosti časoprostoru existujícího mimo naše vnímání.
Fyzik Robert Lanza prohlašuje, že pravděpodobně může existovat současně více vesmírů. Podle jeho teorie je energie vědomí v určitém okamžiku recyklována do jiného těla a mezitím existuje mimo fyzické tělo na jiné úrovni reality a možná také v jiném vesmíru.
Vladimír Škoda přezkoumává znovu tento námět tím, že pracuje obsedantně, dokud nedorazí k překvapivě inovativním závěrům.Jeho práce vychází z téměř vědeckého výzkumu, který je poté transformován a metabolizován uměleckou představivostí, fantazií, která mu dovoluje „nesprávný“ výklad vědy a někdy dokonce i intuitivní překonání mezí, které jsou vymezeny vědeckou přísností.
Translation - French L'espace et le temps ne sont pas des objets ou de la matière, mais plutôt des outils de notre entendement. L'existence et la conscience sont essentielles à la compréhension de l'univers ; c’est ce qui me porte à croire que l’humanité a cherché de tout temps, dans la science comme dans l'art, à définir des questions touchant à la dynamique et à la complexité d'un espace-temps qui existe par-delà notre perception.
Le physicien Robert Lanza affirme que la coexistence de plusieurs univers est probable. Selon sa théorie, l’énergie de la conscience se recycle à un moment donné dans un autre corps ; entre temps, elle existerait en dehors du corps physique, sur un autre plan de réalité et peut-être même dans un autre univers.
Vladimir Škoda réexamine cette thématique à travers un travail obsessionnel jusqu’à l'obtention de conclusions étonnamment innovantes. Son travail résulte d‘une recherche quasi-scientifique qui se trouve ensuite transformée, métabolisée par l'imagination artistique et la fantaisie. Cette dernière l’autorise à exposer „inexactement“ la science, parfois même à s‘affranchir intuitivement des limites imposées par la rigueur scientifique.
