Bio
I was born in Belgium and raised in Arquennes, in the region of Hainaut. After graduating from High School, I decided to register for an exchange program in the United States. During the school year I spent in Louisiana, I not only perfected my English, but I also improved my Spanish as I had the chance of spending time with many Mexican people. This year abroad made me realize how much I loved languages. It led me to enroll in a Bachelor’s degree in languages and literature at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve. One year later, I took the decision of changing the direction of my professional career. I chose to finish my Bachelor’s degree at the faculty of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Mons. After spending a semester in Spain, I obtained my bachelor’s degree. I then decided to carry on with my studies and I enrolled in a Master’s degree in multidisciplinary translation. During the course of these two years, I learned how to translate different types of texts (literary, scientific, legal, technical, economical, etc.). I obtained my Master’s degree in June 2018. After my studies, I found a job in a different field. Two years later, I took the decision of becoming a freelance translator.
