I am a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and I have spent the last decade living abroad in Mexico and Argentina, studying in American bilingual schools, where I achieved mastery over English and Spanish as my second and third languages. To cement what I had learnt for 8 years I spent 3 months in New Zealand perfecting my English. I'm currently studying Electronic Engineering at college so I will be familiar with most physics and tech-related terminology. Recently I started doing some translating work for some of my friends and found it very interesting, especially because I feel like I'm solving a puzzle where i need to find the best way to convey a message in another language in the mot efficient manner. I'm the kind of person who likes to end the things he begins, so once I take up a job I tend to see it through while avoiding interruptions. Despite being very confident in my language skills, I haven't been translating for long, so I'm still quite inexperienced, but i do promise that as long as I'm given the chance I will do my best and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. |
