My name is Helena and I am a European Portuguese native speaker living
in Italy.

I have been working as a proofreader and translator since 2017, having
started soon after my graduation with a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages
(Italian and English) with a Minor in Tourism, Territories, and Patrimony. I have developed my skills within the companies where I worked covering other roles,
such as Public Relations and Tour Operator, and as a freelancer (mainly working for and with
students from different areas of knowledge). 

I am also a professional certified European Portuguese proofreader level
one, and I am currently working on the second level. I decided to invest in
this particular aspect of writing as I think it is crucial to do an impeccable revising job when I am
translating documents, even if I am translating them into my native language.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing (I published a novel back in 2014
at age nineteen), and volunteering at Translators Without Borders.
