Source text - Portuguese O Poder da mulher
Há pouco, estou eu aguardando para ser atendido em um quiosque onde funciona um pequeno ofício operado por uma jovem mulher sobre a qual, eu ao fixar meus olhos, analiso a destreza e a agilidade com que cumpre as tarefas; a habilidade com que faz duas coisas ao mesmo tempo, como nesta ocasião, em que enquanto rapidamente, preenche um formulário no computador, grava também, dados fornecidos por outra pessoa, referente a uma tarefa futura. Ao buscar entender esta proeza, destaca-se a princípio, como motivo, a experiência adquirida ao longo do tempo em que vem fazendo aquilo, mas há algo nela, que lhe é nato; algo que é da natureza da mulher; só ela é capaz de alimentar o filho que está sendo gerado em seu ventre e o outro que já experimenta a vida, cá fora. Então a mulher faz realmente duas coisas ao mesmo tempo.
Tem este poder e não deixa de aproveitá-lo para tudo, como uma grande vantagem na vida. Talvez, seja por isso, que sendo mãe, dona de casa, é considerada a rainha do lar. Nele, ela reina realmente, pois participa ativamente e opina com decisão; tudo ali tem de ser do seu jeito. Tratando-se de coisas da casa, é a mulher quem decide tudo.
É dura e firme, quando necessário, pois vem do cálcio; da costela de Adão, mas também é delicada e frágil diante de outras situações. Sua natureza materna lhe capacita no tocante a doar amor e dedicação contínua, mas também, lhe deixa apta a agir com energia e resistência, diante da ameaça aos nascidos de seu ventre.
É o complemento do homem, cuja vida, sem ela não tem sentido.

Translation - English The Woman Power
Just a little while ago, I was waiting to be served at a kiosk whose activity was being operated by a Young woman, on whom, I fixed my eyes and start to analyze the dexterity and agility with which she accomplishes the tasks; The skill with which she does two things at the same time, as on this occasion, in which, while she quickly fills out a form on the computer, she also records data provided by another person, regarding a future task.
When trying to understand this prowess, the experience gained over the time she has been doing the task, stands out as a motive, but there’s something on her, that’s Born of her, something that is from the nature of woman; only her can feed a child that is being generated in her womb and, one more, the other that already experiences life outside. Then, the woman, makes really, two things at the same time.
She has this power and doesn’t fail to use it as an advantage for everything in life. That is why being a mother, a housewife, she is considered the Queen of home; In it, she really reigns, because she participates and opines with decision; everything there has to be done as she wants. When it comes to household things, it is the woman Who decides everything.
When necessary the woman is hard and firm because she comes from the calcium; comes from Adam’s rib, but she is also delicate and fragile in the face of other situations. The maternal nature enables her to give Love and continuous dedication but also leaves her able to act with energy and resistance, in the face of the threat to those Born in her womb.
She is the complement of a man, whose life without her, is meaningless.
