Source text - English Charles de Gaulle (1890 - 1970), French general and president, was very popular, almost a hero to most French (including to himself).
In 1965 there was a plebiscite in France and the great majority of the French people approved of the way General de Galle was governing the country.
One of the Gaulle's ministers was surprised at the results and hurried to tell general the good news.
"May God, you have won by almost 90%!" the minister exclaimed.
De Gaulle smiled and replies, "Just call me Mon General. There's no need to exaggerate."
Translation - Portuguese Charles de Gales (1890 - 1970), general francês e presidente, foi muito popular, quase um herói para os franceses (inclusive para si mesmo).
Em 1965 houve um plebiscito na França e a grande maioria do povo francês aprovaram a maneira pela qual o General de Gales governava o país.
Um dos ministros Gaulês surpreendido com o resultado e surpreso para falar ao General as boas notícias.
