Translation - English Science and technology are continually changing and advancing, and the methods used in forensic anthropology follow the same pattern. To keep up with changes in his field, a forensic anthropologist needs to read scientific journals, such as American Journal of Physical Anthropology, Journal of Forensic Sciences and International Journal of Osteoarchaeology, to name a few. Sometimes methods are improved and sometimes their relativity is questioned. Another way to stay informed is to attend meetings or conferences held by forensically related committees or boards. Upon learning of new techniques and whether they will be applicable to their case work, a forensic anthropologist should be able to determine which are junk science or mere theories and which are the likely scientific data. Sometimes scientific jargon can be difficult to break down, or more investigation is needed just to understand a single article.

Bio
I was born in Spain into a diplomatic family. The tours included Spain, France and the Court of St James or Great Britain, with lengthy stays in each one.
There are many examples of my experience in translation, most of which have been informal. In 1995, I translated a User's Manual into French for my employer who had developed some gadget and wanted to market it. The regular work I did in the firm was totally unrelated. He found out I could speak French, that's how that happened. I've done work as a temporary agent (short military document from French to English) and other informal work for friends etc. Most recently, I've attended several parent-teacher evaluations twice a year at certain Tulsa public schools to facilitate communication between Spanish speaking parents and the English speaking teachers. I was sent by a language agency. I translated my birth certificate in that agency.
I love languages, want to use and increase my skills doing something in which I excel and really enjoy.
