Have worked off and on as a freelance translator for the last 20 years. Have done both technical and commercial translations.
Have worked for the French arms dealer Sofma, Engineers India Ltd, a technical projects firm and the Institution of Engineers, a research body of engineers. Worked as a freelance translator in Paris for private parties, and for the NGO InterServicesMigrants, translating mainly legal documents from Bengali and English into French. Among the jobs I have done recently are translations for the Swiss national lottery and for the European Commission. I have just finished translating a software security website of over 22000 words. I have also been working as a freelancer at another job site where I have done scores of mainly technical translations, with very good feedback. I am currently translating medical transcripts from French to English.
I am a published author of fiction with a collection of short stories (Confessions of a Misogynist) out on Kindle and a novel under consideration with Harper Collins, India. I have also worked for the English print media in my country, both as a freelancer and as a full-timer.
