I have been living and working Japan for eight years. Although my current job is in education, I have done a fair share of translation and interpretation along the way. I am now looking to pivot into full time translation work, starting small and working my way up.

During my years teaching English in Japan, I have developed a deeper understanding of the Japanese people, honed cultural sensitivity, and have acquired linguistic knowledge from working in an all Japanese environment.

I have had an interest in Japan since I was young. Particularly in the country’s pop culture, cinema, music, and history. I have been a fan of many different forms of Japanese entertainment media and have had a growing interest in using my language skills to give others around the world a chance to enjoy it as well.

I am especially interested in localization. Whether it be video games, anime, manga, novels, or film, I am eager and ready to gain experience working in this field.
