Combining the skills of both a linguist (augmented translator, proofreader, and editor) and content creator for social media/digital marketing, I ensure that copy is clear, accurate, style guide compliant, and tailored to the target market. I'm also an experienced CAT tool user. And as an avid researcher with a crazy creative side, I enjoy producing engaging content to help build both personal and corporate brands. With over 16 years' experience as a translator, proofreader, and editor, I pride myself in producing press-ready, high-quality copy. I have translated and copy edited a wide variety of material: from texts for the automotive and construction industries to literary translations and legal documents (contracts etc.). I currently translate from German to English, but I have over 12 years' experience translating from English to Afrikaans, and I also translate from Dutch, French, and German to English and Afrikaans.
