Translation - English Danni
Danni stopped in front of the giant double doors at Nevlong’s oldest library and caught her breath for a moment.
The beautiful building with its high windows old fashioned ornaments rose impressively in front of her.
A stubborn raindrop found its way down her upraised coat collar and a sudden gust of wind whipped even more rain in her face.
She quickly shock off the worst wetness and hurried into the library.
A feeling of warmth spread inside of her, as it always did, when she looked around.
The smell of old books, the atmosphere and the possibilities of escaping the world.
She had the best job in the world.
Her nose tickled and she sneezed repeatedly.
Today was the day to avoid the usual deep breath and instead hurriedly find a tissue.
The drop at the tip of her nose threatened to fall and lure some more sneezing.
- Oh, I wondered if it was you or some sniveling monster attacking.
Siris tantalizing voice came from behind.
Danni jumped.
Siri grinned and held out a piece of paper towards her.
- Typically of you to scare me like that.
Now the sniveling monster escaped like a lightning and forgot to take the snot with her.
I am still here with a dripping nose and cold feet in rubber boots.
Danni stomped her feet and made the water splash.
Her cheek muscle tightened when she pressed her lips together in an attempt not to reveal a smile.
The eyes sparkled with depressed laughter.
- Don’t worry.
She will be back.
Rain, wind and cold noses are her favourites.
If you didn’t plan to paint water art in all of the entrance hall, I can take you raincoat.
Danni wriggled her way out of the coat.
The wristlet of her jumper was damp.
It was time to upgrade the raincoat.
On the floor around her were already multiple puddles of water and she sighed.
This requires a mop.
The chill ran down her spine and her arm hair raised itself in protest.
Her nose wrinkled and a slight nausea gurgled up together with memories from her childhood.
The years with Angretta.
The living nightmare.
Her eyes went blank and for a moment Danni was back in time.
