I'm a translator of the EN<>PT-BR language pair and a nutrition student in my last semester, finishing up the last internship to graduate.
I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and I’ve always been immersed in the English language via music, movies, TV shows, as well as studying scientific articles for school.
I am currently part of NutritionFacts.org team, voluntarily contributing to the translation and subtitling of short videos on the latest in nutritional research. I have also voluntarily contributed to the translation of subtitles for video courses for Coursera's Global Translation Community, having translated over 15,000 words at high quality. I've translated 2 books from the renowned author D.S.Pais, distributed by Babelcube, Inc. I've also done some translation and subtitling for Amara.org.
I'm building my career as a translator, specializing in technical translations of life sciences and medical sciences, such as the ones involving nutrition, physiology, biochemistry and so on. I also enjoy subtitling videos and I've been studying, as well as doing courses to learn more and improve my skills. |
