Bio

I am an associate professor of Arabic language and literature at the University of Alabama. I'm a literary translator, a researcher of Libyan Literature, and a writer. I have published research on Libyan literature (stylistics analysis, critical discourse analysis, and translation). I earned an MFA in literary translation and creative writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and published translations of short stories from Arabic-English and I have a translated book forthcoming in 2023. I also published my own creative writing on American platforms.

I love translating texts, especially from Arabic to English!
