I am an experienced detail-oriented translator, proofreader and subtitler with a technical, marketing and a sports background.
As a German native, I can translate all kinds of texts from English to German. During my 14 years as a former employed software and web developer, I have been in constant contact with English and English-speaking colleagues and clients. Likewise, during my time as a competitive athlete, I dealt with English native speakers on a repetitive manner.
I started translating professionally in 2018. For more than 6 years now, I've been working as a translator for the industry heavyweight of football management simulation.
I have extensive experience in subtitling for both technical tutorials and in the area of entertainment cinema. For more than one year now, I have been serving the world's largest online retailer with daily translations. Furthermore, I regularly serve as a reviewer for new linguists for a language service provider.
Due to my IT knowledge, HTML or other markup languages are not new to me. So I am also well prepared for the localization of web sites and web applications.
Through my previous professional and private life, I have not only the English skills necessary for translation, but also advanced knowledge in the areas of IT, marketing, product placement, movies, series, sports and video gaming. However, this does not mean that I limit myself to the mentioned areas. I am open to new and interesting projects of all sizes.
