Se você curte assistir espetáculos e filmes de musicais, com certeza já deve ter ouvido falar da tão prestigiada Broadway. Mas afinal de contas, o que é a Broadway?

A Broadway é uma rua aqui em Nova York gigante. Para você ter uma ideia ela vai além da ilha de Manhattan, sobe o Harlem e segue junto ao Rio Hudson, por todas as pequenas cidades sentido Norte.
Mas é ali, no coração de Manhattan, bem pertinho da Time Square onde a Broadway ganha seu prestígio com os teatros mais renomados da cidade.
Ter um espetáculo em cartaz ali é símbolo de sucesso!!! E não é à toa… as peças, no geral, possuem superproduções com cenários grandiosos, figurinos incríveis e um elenco talentosíssimo!

Um ticket pode custar de $80 até $300 ou $400 dólares, dependendo da peça e do assento.
Em épocas de glória, os ingressos para Hamilton chegavam a $500!!!

1 – LOTERIAS
Existem sites, chamados de loterias da Broadway, onde você se inscreve em um sorteio e concorre a ingressos mais baratos para espetáculos específicos. Para se inscrever na loteria é bem simples.
Basta entrar no site, procurar o espetáculo e a data do evento em que você tem interesse e se cadastrar. Ali você já seleciona quantos ingressos deseja e a plataforma te informa quando sai o resultado da loteria.
Se você for sorteado, vai receber um email ou SMS indicando site para a compra dos tickets. Vale lembrar que você tem um tempo limite para comprar os ingressos com valor promocional, ok?
Outra coisa importante de destacar é que alguns musicais da Broadway possuem loterias específicas. Então, é sempre bom jogar no google para ter certeza se tem alguma loteria só para aquele musical, ou não.

Mas calma, porque eles possuem diversos endereços então, se você já estiver na cidade sem saber o que fazer em Nova York, passa de lá e já dá uma conferida nas promoções.

Outra dica de app disponível tanto para IOS, como para Android.
No entanto, o TodayTix, assim como o TKTS só tem ingresso para musical. A diferença é que, no TodayTix você consegue comprar o ticket direto no aplicativo e eles possuem muitas opções de espetáculos.
Inclusive de peças que ainda vão estrear. Outra diferença deste aplicativo é que aqui, você consegue preços mais acessíveis mesmo para datas um pouco mais distantes.
Mas lembre-se que os ingressos mais baratos, quando não são vendidos de última hora, são em assentos distantes.
Então vale a pena pensar se você quer comprar com antecedência, pagar barato e ficar longe, ou se prefere esperar para tentar comprar no dia e conseguir um bom custo-benefício.

If you enjoy musical theater and movies, you probably have already heard of the infamous Broadway. But, what is Broadway?
If you thought it was a single theater, then I'm sorry to tell you that this isn't the case.
Broadway is a very long street here in New York City. To give you an idea, it goes through the island of Manhattan, up Harlem and along the Hudson River, through all the small towns to the north.
But it's right there, in the heart of Manhattan and right next to Times Square, that Broadway gets its prestige from the city's most renowned theaters.
Having a show running on Broadway is a symbol of success!!! And it's not for nothing… the shows, in general, are super productions with grandiose sets, incredible costumes and a very talented cast!
And here's a tip, if you don't know what to do in New York in the winter, watching a musical might be a great idea! Especially, because the city is less crowded due to the low temperatures.

How do you get cheap tickets to Broadway musicals?
Since it is so prestigious and world-renowned, the shows tend to be on the pricier side, and are not so affordable at times.
A ticket can cost from $80 to $300 or $400, depending on the play and the seat you choose.
Back in the day, tickets to Hamilton went for as much as $500!!!
Crazy, right?
But don’t fret, all is not lost! If you are as passionate about Broadway musicals as I am, know that there are ways to save when buying these tickets, and enjoy a good show in one of the most artistic and cultural cities in the world! Do you want to know how? Check this out!
1 – LOTTERIES
There are websites called Broadway Lotteries, where you can sign up for a draw and have the chance to buy cheaper tickets for certain shows. Signing up for the lottery is pretty simple.
Simply log on to the site, search for the show and date of the event you are interested in and register. Once there, you can select how many tickets you want and the platform informs you when the lottery result comes out.
If you get lucky, you will receive an email or text indicating the website to buy the tickets. It is worth remembering that you have a time limit to buy tickets at this promotional price, ok?
Another important thing to highlight is that some Broadway musicals have their own lotteries. So, it's a good idea to Google and make sure if there is a lottery just for that musical, or not.

It's a resale point for last-minute tickets.
You can download the app on your mobile phone, check out the musicals available in New York and the price of the tickets. However, it is not possible to buy them on the platform. You need to go to their booth.
But it's okay, because they have several addresses, so if you're already in the city and doesn't know what to do in New York, stop by and check out the promotional price.

Another app available for both iOS and Android.
However, as well as TKTS, TodayTix only gives you access to tickets for the musicals. The difference is that on TodayTix you can buy the ticket right from the app and there have many options. Including shows that are still going to open, and, another distinction of this app, you can get more affordable prices even for later dates.
But remember, the cheapest tickets, when they are not sold at the last minute, are for seats far from the stage.
So it's worth pondering if you want to buy in advance, pay less and seat far away, or if you prefer to wait, try to buy on the day and get a good value for your money.
BROADWAY MUSICALS ONLINE
Now if you don't want to spend money, or prefer a more stay-at-home approach, know that it is possible to watch some of Broadway's musicals online through Streaming services.
And I'm not talking about watching the movie, okay? I'm talking about watching the show itself, just like it's performed at the theater here in New York. For example: Hamilton, available on Disney+.
It's amazing to watch and well worth it!
