After my 4-year BA (Honours) Degree in English Language and Literature obtained in 2001, I started my career as EN > IT Professional Translator working in-house in Localization/Translation Departments for some of the Best Companies in the World. Having spent 5 years working in-house, I decided to start my adventure as freelancer translator/reviewer.
Thanks to my long and valuable experience as in-house and freelancer translator (10 years in total to date!), working with major International Companies that give the right value to the localization of their products, I well understand how important is the quality for you and your Company and how essential is the respect of internal guidelines and glossaries as well as a internal consistency.
Also, following a growing interest in Science/Medical and Pharmaceutical fields, I specialized in science, medical and pharmaceutical translations and I continue studying and learning through University studies.
About my academic curriculum, after the BA (Honours) Degree in English Language and Literature, I obtained a MSc Degree in Scientific, Medical, Technical Translation with Translation Technology at Imperial College in 2004. Following this, I attended different qualifying courses in Editorial as well as Biomedical Translation. Last year, I started and followed a Specialized MSc Degree in Biomedical/Pharmaceutical and Environment/Energy Translation that I completed at the beginning of 2011 with a final translation project in the biomedical field.
I am currently studying to obtain a BSc (Honours) Degree in Natural Science.
