This is the story of an "atypical" career path punctuated by subtle name-dropping. At first, one would spot me gesticulating safety instructions to jaded passengers in tired planes. I then got a glimpse at the joys of private banking. After that, I organized luxury stays for high dignitaries at summit meetings (Davos). And while nobody saw me make Eric Cantona laugh (I swear it's true!). A few barflies did most certainly see (and hear) me pouring pints for weary writers. Finally, at art school (HEAD), all this served as food for my eventually channeled creativity. While at it, I took the opportunity to sharpen my eyes and pick my words. As a result, I now approach writing and translation almost sociologically, as I attach much importance to cultural context, in the broadest sense. In short, I go to great lengths to find the right tone, whether technical or downright silly.
