Bio
I’m Khalen Moore, a seasoned interpreter and translator passionate about bridging not just languages, but cultures and continents. With over four years of experience, I’ve dedicated myself to the art of interpretation—working across some of the most linguistically rich and diverse regions in the Sahel and Sahara.I’m fluent in English and French, and proficient in Hausa, Pulaar, and Fulfulde. My work also includes interpreting and translating less commonly spoken languages like Dazaga, Tedaga, Zarma, Tagdal, and Tadaksahak. This range has allowed me to thrive in high-stakes settings—from courtroom and medical environments to executive meetings and community outreach programs. One of my most rewarding roles has been with the Hausa/Fulfulde Immersion Program in Adamawa, Nigeria. There, I provided interpretation and translation services that were recognized by the program’s CEO for their accuracy and timeliness. I also helped develop language tools and best practices to improve communication across cultures. As a freelancer, I’ve translated legal and medical documents, supported court proceedings, and collaborated on cross-cultural visits with social workers and educators. I’ve also created glossaries, manuscripts, and multimedia tools to support African-language learners—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.Currently, I’m pursuing an Associate in Nursing at Chattahoochee Technical College and working toward a 360-hour TEFL certification. I believe that language is power, and I’m committed to ensuring that every voice—no matter how remote—is heard, understood, and respected.I’m Khalen Moore, a seasoned interpreter and translator passionate about bridging not just languages, but cultures and continents.
