Bio
Originally from Brasília, Brazil, I stepped into translation almost by accident — and stayed because it became a real passion. I have a BA in Translation Studies and a lasting curiosity across many fields of knowledge. Since my first translation job in 2003, I’ve worked through technical and specialised content, audiovisual projects, consecutive interpreting, and the kind of day-to-day problem-solving this profession teaches you if you stick with it. I’ve lived in Spain since 2007 and I’m based in Madrid, working from English and Spanish into Brazilian Portuguese.
Alongside translation, I’ve spent years as a software QA tester/engineer — much of it in AI, teaching vocal assistants to behave as they should for Brazilian Portuguese users. That analytical habit shapes how I handle terminology, consistency, MTPE and linguistic quality: I look for what breaks, what sounds off, and what the end user will actually notice. I’m also an old-school gamer, so localizing games into PT-BR is work I enjoy from both sides of the screen. If that mix sounds useful for your project, let’s talk.
