25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE AREA OF COMMUNICATIONS

I am a specialist of written corporate communications with a creative strategic approach. Because of my solid linguistic background (see resume), I am definitely an asset in a team when efficiency and reliability are required. For 21 years, I worked in Agropur's (Canada's largest dairy cooperative) Public Relations and Communications Department where I acted as a writer, copy editor and language consultant. My responsibilities included the production of a newsletter - Inter.Com: magazine format, 16 to 20 pages, published n French and English, 6 times/year, circulation of 12,000 copies across Canada. I also played a significant role in the annual report production: first a proof-reader, I ended assuming writing, theme development and copy-editing for the past four years. Quality control was part of my responsibilities. I approved documents before sending them to press and ensured that agencies' translations reflected the French source documents.

A long-coveted dream became reality in late 2005, when I founded my own communication business: À Fleur de mots. January 2006 marked my beginnings as a freelance writer-translator-copy editor. Currently, my clientele consists of 10 organizations in the following sectors: communication-marketing, agri-food (dairy products, beef production), forest, business coaching, psychological assistance, event designing, government accounts via an agency, snowboard magazine, computer services...
