I specialize in technical or engineering-related translation. I have a Bachelor degree in Engineering(with Honours) in Electrical Engineering.
I am also proficient in translating business terms, scientific terms (chemistry, biology, physics among them) and brochures or publicity materials that require copywriting.
I am also a capable freelance web designer and web programmer. Having designed a few websites myself. Hence, a localization project involving translation and creation of websites should be something I am quite caapble of handling.
I have completed several small localization projects and a large translation project. All these projects are done on a freelance basis for Asialingo.com, a subsidiariy of Singapore-based Verztec Pte. Ltd.
The large translation is for the localized website for MOTUL, a French motor lubricant company. The translation involved translating normal text and technical terms (relating to automobile industry and chemistry) from English to Malay.
The small projects all involved copywriting and translating brochures from English to Malay.
My pricing is typically USD$0.04 - S$0.08 per word (all quoted in US dollars) depending on the nature of the translation and the deadline given.
