Translation - Finnish Intian suloisuus ja vieraanvaraisuus ovat unohtumattomia. Loma Intiassa ei ole sama kuin loma missä tahansa, vaan se voi olla alku rakkaustarinalle. Kerta kerralta tutustuessasi Intiaan rakastat sitä enemmän.

Experience
Years of experience: 30. Registered at ProZ.com: Dec 2006.
I am a Finnish freelance translator who is looking for more customers and partners for co-operation. I have my own company, Multitext. In the following, I am going to tell more about myself and my proposition.
I am a 38-year-old lady from southern Finland. I live with my husband and two children. I started working as a translator and an interpreter already when studying at the university. I wanted to gain more experience with the languages I studied, and my job was needed. Since then, I have had various assignments for different customers. I was never that sure if I wanted to do such a lonely profession as translating on full-time basis so I gathered a lot of experience in different fields and worked as a part-time translator when I was asked to.
I have worked as a reporter, marketing manager, language teacher, administrator, assistant, organizator and researcher. Now my aim is to get acquainted with more agencies and customers and to build up a good network for co-operation offering my services as an experienced translator. After all, I find it most interesting to solve problems with different languages and expressions in texts for various purposes.
My working languages are German and Hungarian. I prefer translating into my mother tongue, Finnish, but I do not hesitate to translate vice versa, either. In that case, I usually want to have more time (and financial resources) to get my text proofread by a native speaker for which I have my own network. I have gained my knowledge of those foreign languages at the University of Helsinki (the Institution for Translation). My major subject was Hungarian language and culture and minors German interpreting and translating, as well as Finnish for translators. We always studied with native speaker teachers and wrote the exams in the foreign language. I also spend a year in Hungary at the ELTE University of Budapest, a month at the Summer University of Debrecen, three months doing research and working in Budapest, as well as many summers travelling around the country. In Germany, I had a three-month summer job, and in Austria, I studied a month at the Summer University of Vienna not to mention the numerous trips made to those countries, too.
My main experience in translating is with shorter documents for different purposes such as authorities, internal use: documents, user manuals, security purposes, trading, training, agreements, subtitles for films, the Internet (marketing), and so forth. I also have translated some articles but not whole books yet. I would thus like to do that in the future, too.
I am using Microsoft Office in Windows XP Pro. My mailing system has a space of 50 Mbytes. During my studies I practised the use of Trados. Now I am using Wordfast 5, Trados 7 and SDLXLite.
I can promise my capacity of translating to be about 4500 translated words a day. The price of one translated word from Hungarian is 0,14 euros, and from German 0,12 euros or 52 euros per hour. Ask for the rates for proofreading. As an exrtacurricular activity I can mention book: I´ve written children´s fact books about Hungary and Austria here in Finland.
I hope that you are willing to start a co-operation with me. If you want to save my CV or information about my services in your database, I am grateful if you also let me know that
