Source text - English SECTION 14. FORCE MAJEURE
14.1. Neither Party shall be liable to the other Party for any failure or delay in fulfilling any of its obligations under this Agreement by reason of any case of Force Majeure, which shall refer to any of the circumstances referred to in Section 14.2 provided that:
i. such circumstances are not within the reasonable control of the Party
concerned,
i) such circumstances, despite the exercise of reasonable diligence, cannot be prevented, avoided or removed by the Party,
ii) such circumstances materially affect the ability of the Party concerned to perform its obligations under this Agreement,
iii) the Party concerned has taken all reasonable measures to avoid the effect of such circumstances on its ability to perform its obligations under this Agreement and to mitigate the consequences of such circumstances,
iv) such circumstances are not the direct or indirect result of any failure by the Party concerned to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement, and
v) the Party concerned has given the other Party a written notice as set
forth in Section 14.3.
14.2. Subject to the circumstances referred to in Section 14.1, Force Majeure events shall be deemed to include, but are not limited to, the following circumstances:
war or hostilities,
riot or civil commotion, boycott or trade embargoes, strikes or other form of industrial action,
earthquake, flood, fire,
actions by any government or any agency thereof.
14.3. If either Party is prevented or delayed in the performance of any of its obligations under this Agreement by an occurrence of Force Majeure then it shall give written notice thereof to the other Party as promptly as possible and, specifying:
the occurrence constituting Force Majeure,
the obligation or obligations the performance of which is thereby prevented or delayed and
the further period for which it is estimated that such prevention or delay will continue.
14.4. If the Party concerned proves the occurrence of a cause or circumstance of Force Majeure, that Party shall automatically be granted an extension of time corresponding to the Force Majeure period.
14.5. In the event that either Party shall by virtue of Force Majeure as defined in 14.1 and 14.2 above, be excused for a continuous period of 6 (six) months from performance of its obligations under this Agreement, the Parties shall immediately meet to review the situation with a view to attain means of achieving a resumption of performance. In the absence of any agreement thereon within thirty (30) days from the end of such six (6) month period, either Party may terminate this Agreement.
14.6. In the event of any case of Force Majeure, no compensation or indemnity shall be due by either Party to the other Party by reason only of such case of Force Majeure.

14.1 Aucune des Parties ne sera tenue responsable par l'autre Partie d'un manquement ou d'un retard dans l'exécution de l'une quelconque de ses obligations dans le cadre du présent Accord s'il s'agit d'un cas de force majeure. Sera considéré comme tel l'une quelconque des circonstances mentionnées dans la Section 14.2 sous réserve que :
i. ces circonstances ne soient pas raisonnablement contrôlables par la Partie
concernée,
i) ces circonstances ne puissent être prévenues, évitées ou supprimées par la Partie, malgré l'exercice d'une diligence raisonnable,
ii) ces circonstances affectent matériellement la capacité de la Partie concernée à remplir ses obligations dans le cadre du présent Accord,
iii) la Partie concernée ait pris toutes les mesures raisonnables pour éviter que ces circonstances n'affectent sa capacité à remplir ses obligations dans le cadre du présent Accord et pour minimiser les conséquences de ces circonstances,
iv) ces circonstances ne soient pas le résultat direct ou indirect d'un manquement de la Partie concernée à remplir l'une quelconque de ses obligations dans le cadre de cet Accord, et
v) la Partie concernée ait averti l'autre Partie par écrit, tel que stipulé
dans la Section 14.3.
14.2 En fonction des circonstances mentionnées dans la Section 14.1, les cas de force majeure incluront mais ne limiteront pas aux circonstances suivantes :
guerre ou hostilités,
émeute ou mouvement populaire, boycott ou embargo commercial, grève ou tout autre forme d'action revendicative,
tremblement de terre, inondation, incendie,
mesures prises par un Gouvernement ou une agence gouvernementale.
14.3 Si l'une des Parties se voit empêchée ou retardée dans l'exécution de l'une quelconque de ses obligations dans le cadre du présent Accord par un cas de force majeure, elle devra alors en informer l'autre Partie par écrit dès que possible, en précisant :
l'évènement constituant un cas de force majeure,
la ou les obligations dont l'exécution est ainsi empêchée ou retardée, et
la durée estimée pendant laquelle cet empêchement ou ce retard va continuer.
14.4 Si la Partie concernée prouve la survenue d'une cause ou d'une circonstance de force majeure, celle-ci bénéficiera automatiquement d'un supplément de temps correspondant à la durée du cas de force majeure.
14.5 Si l'une des Parties est, du fait d'un cas de force majeure tel que défini en 14.1 et 14.2 ci-dessus, dispensée de l'exécution de ses obligations dans le cadre du présent Accord pendant une période continue de 6 (six) mois, les Parties se rencontreront immédiatement pour faire un état de la situation et décider de la façon de reprendre l'exécution des obligations. Faute d'arriver à un accord à ce sujet dans un délai de trente (30) jours à partir de la fin de ladite période de six (6) mois, l'une quelconque des Parties pourra résilier le présent Accord.
14.6 Dans le cas d'un évènement de force majeure, aucune compensation ou indemnité ne sera due par l'une des Parties à l'autre Partie sur le seul motif du cas de force majeure.

Source text - English 1. Don't overheat the stator core. EASAs Core Iron Study(1984) and the Association of Electrical and Me¬chanical Trades' (AEMT) The Repair Of Induction Motors: Best Practices To Maintain Energy Efficiency (1998) demonstrate that the effects of burnout tem¬perature depend on the type of lamination insulation. Organic material (C3) tends to break down at lower temperatures than inorganic materials (C5). The obvi¬ous conclusion is that stripping stators at too high a temperature damages the core plating on the lamina¬tions. This causes shorts between laminations, increasing core losses. For this reason, EASA recom¬mends that maximum core (part) temperature not exceed 680° F (360° C) for organic and 750° F (400° C) for inorganic coreplate. Most newer cores may be safely processed at the higher temperature. If in doubt about the type of coreplate used in a particular motor, con¬tact the motor manufacturer. Refer to the EASA Technical Manual, Section 1, for contact information, or look them up on EASAs Web site
To prevent overheating, follow the recommendations of the oven manufacturer when loading the oven. Dif¬ferent oven designs call for different procedures. Do not pile stators on top of one another or place small stators inside the bores of larger ones. Burn-off ovens should also be equipped with a water spray device that activates automatically if something inside the oven ignites, or if the part temperature exceeds the setpoint. Part temperature, which can vary depending on loca¬tion within the oven, should be monitored with a chart recorder.
2. Don't use an open flame for stripping. Using un¬controlled heat degrades coreplate and warps cores.
3. Don't sandblast the core iron. Blasting with sand or other hard materials can cause shorts between lami¬nations if the laminations are struck at certain angles. Shorted laminations increase core losses. Use glass beads, walnut shells, corncobs or similar materials.
4. Don't short the laminations when grinding or fil¬ing. This procedure, if done improperly, can cause shorts between laminations, thereby increasing core losses. When removing varnish from the stator bore after baking, take care to avoid enlarging the diameter of the bore or causing shorts in the laminations.
5. Don't increase the air gap. Enlarging the diameter of the stator bore or taking a cut off the rotor increases the air gap. This produces a higher magnetizing (no¬load) current and may adversely affect losses.

Les matières organiques (C3) ont tendance à céder à des températures inférieures aux matières non organiques (C5). N'empilez pas les stators les uns sur les autres ou placez les petits stators dans les alésages des plus gros. Les étuves doivent aussi être équipées d'un système de pulvérisation qui se déclenche automatiquement si quelque chose prend feu dans l'étuve ou si la température
de l'objet dépasse le seuil fixé. La température de l'objet, qui peut varier selon son emplacement dans l'étuve, doit être contrôlée par un enregistreur à tracé continu.
2. Ne pas utiliser de flamme nue pour le décapage. L'utilisation d'une chaleur non contrôlée endommage le revêtement d'isolation et déforme les noyaux.
3. Ne pas sabler la fonte du noyau. Le décapage au sable ou avec tout autre matériau dur peut provoquer des courts-circuits entre les tôles si celles-ci sont frappées sous certains angles. Les tôles court-circuitées augmentent les pertes en fer. Utilisez des billes de verre, des coquilles de noix, des épis de maïs ou des matériaux similaires.
4. Ne pas court-circuiter les tôles lors du ponçage ou du limage. Ce procédé, s'il est mal effectué, peut provoquer des courts-circuits entre les tôles, ce qui augmente les pertes en fer. Lorsque vous enlevez du vernis de l'alésage du stator après la cuisson, veillez à ne pas élargir le diamètre de l'alésage et à ne pas occasionner de courts-circuits dans les tôles.
5. Ne pas augmenter l'entrefer. L'élargissement du diamètre de l'alésage du stator ou le retrait d'une partie du rotor augmente l'entrefer. Cela produit un courant magnétisant (à vide) plus élevé, qui pourrait avoir des conséquences néfastes sur les pertes.
