After working for a time as an in-house technical translator
I have now been operating freelance on a full-time basis since 2007. 

I hold the Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation with two Merits and a Distinction (Science and Technology options) and an Honours degree (2.1) in French with History of Art.

15 years of life on a working French farm gave me a wide
range of knowledge in all aspects of agriculture, both in terms of machinery
and crops. I have extensive experience in the translation of specifications,
procedures and datasheets in the construction industry, particularly for environmentally
sustainable buildings; large volumes relating to computerised railway
equipment; user manuals for various agricultural machines; technical
specifications and user manuals for hydraulic machinery and the automotive
sector; software, manuals and hardware specifications for different types of
automated systems; data sheets, specifications and articles relating to energy
distribution; calls for tender in various fields; marketing/organisational
documents for events such as the Monaco Yacht Show.

I have also translated for 20 years in the field of tourism,
particularly for museums, art galleries and visitor centres, including descriptive panels for the
exhibits, visitor guides, films, books and educational material. 

I also provide localisation of websites, e-learning materials and subtitling.

I can complete between 2500 and 3000 words of translation
per day, and I use Trados Studio 2022.
