Hello everyone. My name is Carlos E. Erbach. I am a native from Mexico, and an engineer by profession (IIS - ITESM, 1984), with 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, having held management positions in engineering and quality.
I have post-graduate courses in Finance for Non-financial Managers and Manufacturing Engineering, and very recently (2020-2021) in Lean Management, Lean Six-Sigma, Quality Management, 5S Workplace Productivity, The Seven Deadly Wastes, A3 Problem Solving for Continuous Improvement, and Value Stream Mapping supported through Excel.
In addition, since the age of 18, I have been a translator, from English to Spanish and vice-versa, providing translations in several fields, limited only by time, due to my job as an engineer. That's 40+ years of experience to date.
Over the same period, I have also been a simultaneous interpreter. Over the years, I can boast of having performed several simultaneous translations for the CENAM (Centro Nacional de Metrología), the equivalent of the NIST in Mexico; an International Conference on Water Supply; community interpreting in the realm of health care, and more recently, a Pressure Decay course and several interventions during ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and IATF 16949 audits.
Finally, I can also boast 40+ years of experience as a voice/actor and voiceover specialist (native English speaker - no accent), with my voice appearing in dozens of Corporate videos (demo available upon request). To keep myself up to date in this realm, I have taken post-graduate courses in Voice Acting within the last five years, and I have my certificate as a Professional Radio and TV announcer.
As of mid-2019, my girlfriend and I have a Transportation business, and we reside in Mérida, Yucatán, in México.
This business has freed up my time, and I am available as a full-time English-Spanish-English translator for all topics related to the above. Still, I am also focusing on User Manuals, Medicine, Cuisine, and Tourism in particular, and all other fields in general.
