So, my name is Diane. I'm a freelancer.
I gave a name to my activity : STRATEDOC.
This means Saisie & TRAduction TEchnique de la DOCumentation and also STRATEgie DOCumentaire in french, the field where I work.
I'm working as a translator since 1991 (had many trainings in several fields by French, German and English speaking people) and work as a freelancer since 2006.
How did I become a translator ?
My father is french, my mother is german. I 'm bilingual but almost triligual by birth. My family lives in France, Germany and Canada. I decided to become a translator after my parents paid twice their house because of a bad translation in the contract. I was a teenager.
Now I'm working with technicians and engineers who need accurate technical translations. I was trained on site (by engineers) and on "tarmac" (by pilots and aeronautic engineers) - I go on plants to see new machines.
I do general translations too. I began my studies in tourism.
If necessary, I can perform a translation test for you but it is impossible to show my confidential translations. Thank you for your comprehension.
