Raised in California, both parents Chamorro (Guam); received scholarship to study at Universität Heidelberg in Germany with a German Studies major/Russian minor. Completed studies from the Translator's Institute in Heidelberg with a B.A. in German Studies under the auspices of San Diego State University, San Diego, CA.

Since 1978, I have worked for the airlines as a Flight Attendant, primarily as a German-speaking attendant for on-board translation. I retired from the airlines in June 2006, but have been working simultaneously since March 2000 with an aerospace/government contractor group in Thousand Oaks, CA, specializing in translation from German into English for documents primarily from the German Armed Forces to service a contract with the aerospace company I work for, and subsequent documents ranging from finance, engineering, construction and contracts.

Additionally, I have been translating orders for different construction companies regarding special order windows and doors manufactured in Germany. This has involved written as well as telephone contact to complete the orders.
