I was born and raised in Germany (German father/Dutch mother) where I got my highschool degree in 1997. Then, after 4 years of study, in 2001, I took my bachelor degree in translation and interpreting in Maastricht (Netherlands). After that I worked for 6 years for a translation agency in Reuver (NL). During this time I took 2 degrees in legal translation and interpreting (Dutch/German/Portuguese) at the SIGV in Utrecht (Netherlands). In 2006, I decided to work as a freelancer. From 2006 till 2016 (the year we moved to Brazil) I worked regularly as a court interpretor, but I also interpreted for police and other sectors of the Dutch and German law enforcement. Besides that I worked regularly as conference interpreter for different companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In 2012, I got my Master degree in literature translation (English/Spanish/German) at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf (Germany). Since 2016, I am living in Brazil where I work as a translator, conference interpreter and language teacher for German, Dutch and English. |
