I am a translator and interpreter, a graduate of the School of English at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, where I am currently also a PHD student. I took part in a two-year Conference Interpreting Programme organised by this institution.
I am genuinely interested in politics and current affairs regarding the situation both at home and abroad. Culture and, in particular, inter-cultural communication constitute the focal point of my interests. I specialise in translation of texts related to law, economy, trade and European Union.
Despite young age I have managed to gain extensive professional experience. Since 2007 I have regularly participated in translation internships at various companies and institutions: Euroscript-Polska (2007), Fortis Bank Polska (2007), Centrum Językowe Idea (2008), Interia.pl (2008). I am currently providing translation and interpreting services to Argos Company ltd, Centrum Językowe Idea, as well as ArcelorMittal Poland. In my translation work I use Trados Freelance 2007.
The necessity to combine work and studies has required perfect organisation skills, which I believe to be one of my strongest assets. Diversity of working environments I have encountered so far made me a person open to changes and innovations, ready to face new challenges. Working abroad I gained valuable experience in providing services to international clients and became familiar with their culture, customs and expectations. |
