Coming from Science background, got First Class First in English Literature, Subsidiaries: Linguistics and Political Science, and compulsory Urdu, Theology. Privately taught Assamese to Bengali speaker, enabling the student to get Fullbright Scholarship for PhD in Linguistics, based on thorough knowledge of Assamese, and counselling as and when necessary, where knowledge of Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu came very handy. Working on a translation of a History Book from English to Assamese, just for personal satisfaction. Ten years running in the Production of Footwear, where knowledge of self-taught French, Spanish and Italian prove useful in proper labelling of merchandise. Working with various Name Brands, keep me in touch with Legalities, and dealing with various Customers means going through countless Company manuals for countless reasons. But it is my great love of language that has pulled me to Proz.com, and the fact that I am surrounded by multi-talented people, with knowledge of various languages, is greatly reassuring, to take on projects of any kind.
