After nearly 10 years working as in-house translator and interpreter in Italy, I started working as a full-time freelance medical translator in 2008 after completing a master’s degree in medical translation in Italy before moving back to the United States. Some of the work I do: summary of product characteristics, clinical trial correspondence, protocol synopses, informed consents, package inserts, investigator’s brochures, adverse event reporting, labelling, hospitalization reports, medical journal articles, pharmaco-cosmetic devices, medical reports and publications, clinical psychology, case histories, infertility, pharmacovigilance reporting, lab testing, drug quality manuals, drug manufacture SOPs, and medical devices. My work often includes recreation of charts and complex source text.
