Bio
Hello!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile.
I am an Italian > English translator and English teacher, resident in Italy since 2004. I am a graduate in Sociology and Italian language and culture and I work in the areas of social and environmental sciences as well as education, communications, corporate material, legal documentation, psychology, certification, advertising, tourism, and hospitality.
I volunteer for both Translator Without Borders, where I have completed the introductory course in Humanitarian Translation, and Amnesty International for which I have achieved the certificate for their Human Rights Defenders course. I am also currently studying the KU Leuven course on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and "Human Rights, Human Wrongs: Challenging Poverty, Vulnerability and Social Exclusion" provided by the SDG Academy which delves into the necessity of human rights, the international and regional legal frameworks supporting them, the marginal groups which were first focused on, the most important treaties and their limitations, advocacy, exclusion and inclusion, crisis and conflict, and future development, and more.
Please contact me at megmullan(at)gmail(dot)com for any further information and of course have a look at my CV which can be found on my profile.
If you choose me as a translator for your text, I can promise you well-researched, eloquent work which conveys your message as appropriate to your intended target.
