English to Polish: Genomic structure and association results of the ENGRAILED 2 gene General field: Science Detailed field: Genetics
Source text - English EN2 is encoded by two exons separated by a single intron in 8.1 kb. Eighteen polymorphisms within EN2 have
been tested for association with ASD, and two intronic SNPs (rs1861972 and rs1861973) have consistently displayed significant results. Rs1861972 is an A/G polymorphism, and rs1861973 is
a C/T polymorphism. Significant association for the A allele of rs1861972 and the C allele of rs1861973, both individually and as a haplotype, has been observed in three separate datasets, providing genetic evidence that EN2 is likely to be an ASD susceptibility locus (Gharani et al.,

Bio
Hello,
I specialize in medical and life sciences translation with a strong focus on clinical documentation and medical devices. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with RWS Life Sciences on a wide range of materials related to clinical trials, including patient questionnaires, e-diaries, informed consent forms, and protocol synopses. For over 7 years, I have also collaborated with Medtronic Translations, translating IFUs, medical software, and documentation for medical instruments.
In addition to medical content, I have 20 years of experience in translating academic and clinical handbooks in the field of mental health care (psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychology), with nearly 40 published titles. Selected works include:
Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy by Yalom and Leszcz
History of Modern Psychology by Schultz and Schultz
The Oxford Handbook of Political Psychology (ed. Sears, Huddy, Jervis)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression by Segal, Williams, and Teasdale
DBT Skills Training Manual by Marsha Linehan
Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual, Second Edition (PDM-2) (ed. Lingiardi and McWilliams)
...and many more.
I’m passionate about clear, accurate, and patient-friendly medical communication in Polish and always eager to take on challenging and meaningful translation projects.
