I received my MA in Translation and Interpretation from City University of Hong Kong. I am also a fellow of Chartered Insitute of Linguists (FCIL) and holder of Diploma in Translation of Institute of Linguists (DipTrans IoL). My fields of specilization in my DipTrans are literature and humanities. I can translate from English to Chinese and vice versa. I have translated more than 40 books on Christianity, more than 30 of which have been published in Hong Kong and Singapore. I had worked as a translator in the Hong Kong Police Force for 11 years. Before I joined the civil service in Hong Kong, I had worked in many different fields such as publication, computing, social work and mass media. Therefore I can handle quite a wide variety of texts. I am now working as a freelance translator. I am also a part-time instructor of School of Professional and Continuing Education of The University of Hong Kong. I mainly teach literary translation there. |
