I was born in Munich (Germany) in 1977 to an English mother and a Greek father and was raised trilingual. I studied Business Administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich from November 1998 until September 2004 and majored in Information Systems and New Media, and Information, Organization and Management. After completing my studies, I worked as a translator. I have 6 years experience translating from English to German and vice versa. My tasks comprised the translation of software manuals, websites, menus, property descriptions, football DVDs, ...
I also translated the first half of the book “Building Websites with VB.NET and DotNetNuke 3.0” by Daniel N. Egan from English to German; German title „DotNetNuke – Komplexe Websites erstellen und verwalten“
I moved to the Turks & Caicos Islands (British Overseas Territory) in August 2006. I lived there for two years and studied for a degree as a state-certified translator (English/German with main emphasis on economics) by correspondence course (AKAD Privathochschule Stuttgart).
In 2010 I was publicly appointed and sworn, entitled to provide certified translations. |
