My name is Jadwiga Wos and I am Polish.
I hold MA in Linguistics.
I majored in Linguistics (thesis in the field of semantics) and English and American Studies from University of Lodz in 1990.
After graduation I spent over six years in English-speaking countries from the US and UK to New Zealand, which made my English native-like.
After working as a TEFL Teacher at WSB-NLU University in Nowy Sacz for 12 years I have made a big step in my career by immigrating to UK, where I have lived for eleven years now.
This is where my professional career in interpreting started. I also continue with the translation in Polish-English/English-Polish pairs.
I am an experienced medical interpreter for LanguageLine Ltd., and provide telephone interpretation for Language Services based in Kingston-Upon-Hull in various fields, ranging from health-related to legal. Through the years I have provided professional translations for different companies, organisations and private customers.
I possess strong professional and interpersonal skills with expertise in consecutive interpretation from English to Polish and Polish to English, as well as outstanding customer service.
In my free time I enjoy travelling, meeting and exploring new cultures, photography, art, writing poetry, yoga, cycling, outdoor swimming and body-boarding.
